Todd Terry raises to 40,000 from middle position and is called by Soheil Shamseddin in the late position and Michael Mizrachi in the big blind.

The flop comes AheartKdiamond4club and after a check from Mizrachi, Terry bets 60,000.  Soheil gets out of the way and Mizrachi calls.

The board fills out AheartKdiamond4club6spadeJheart with both players checking it down.

Mizrachi says "king" and Terry flips over A-9 for a pair of aces.  Mizrachi rechecks his hole cards several times and then throws them into the muck.

Level 17: 5,000-10,000, 1,500 ante

The river card is the 9club, Kohlberg bets 180,000, and Terry says, "You have to have a full house, Curt. I can not be good. Absolutely can not be good." After a short while, Terry continues. "I think I can beat one hand you might play like this. Maybe two."

Terry eventually folds Kheart10heart face up for the king-high flush. Kohlberg takes the pot without showing his cards.

Ohannessian tanks himself for a while before he eventually folds, and then Chan says, "I knew you were capable of that," and folds as well. Todd Terry takes a nice preflop pot.

Todd Terry and Christian Harder Call Each Other's Cards

Level 14: 2,500-5,000, 500 ante

Todd Terry raises from late position, Jason Mercier reraises from the cutoff to 34,000, and Christian Harder four-bets from the button to 70,000. Terry folds, and Mercier thinks for a long time before he folds as well.

Terry says, "Show the deuce!" Harder flips over one card, and it's a 2.

Earlier at this same table, Terry played a pot to the river, but without a showdown. Harder said, "You have queen-jack of spades." Sure enough, Todd Terry flipped over QspadeJspade.

ClubWPT.com Level 11 Update

Level 12: 1,500-3,000, 400 ante

The Cinderella stories of ClubWPT.com qualifiers came to a close early in Day 3 as both Dean Meyer and Jesse Lopez saw their tournament runs cut short during the first level of the day.

Even though Dean Meyer only lasted midway through the first level of the day, his Day 3 here at Foxwoods was a real roller coaster ride.  Meyer came into the day with just 30,000 chips, but quickly doubled up thanks to a little luck and 5heart6heart.  Meyer limped from under the gun, Eric Froehlich raised in middle position and Meyer called.

The flop fell Aclub8club6spade and Meyer shoved all-in for his last 24,000.  Froehlich called and showed A-J, which had Meyer's 5heart6heart for bottom pair in bad shape. The Jdiamond on the turn left Meyer drawing even thinner, but he hit a miraculous 6diamond on the river to make trips and double up.

Froehlich and Meyer would clash again a little while later.  Eric Froehlich raised in early position, Eric Haber reraised to 20,000 total and Meyer called.  Froehlich then moved all-in, Haber folded and Meyer thought for a moment before calling with AdiamondJdiamond.  Froehlich showed AheartKspade, which held as the board ran out Aspade3club2heartTheart3heart

After the hand, Meyer told us he had hoped that Froehlich was pushing with a mid pair and he was in a race situation.  While Meyer was disappointed to be eliminated, he does have something to look forward to tomorrow.  Yesterday, he befriended a Foxwoods local at his table and they promised to show Meyer and his wife around Connecticut before they head back to North Dakota.

Jesse Lopez found himself heading for the rail shortly after Meyer when Todd Terry opened for a raise from early position, Lopez called from middle position and Michael "The Grinder" Mizrachi made it an additional 15,000 to go.  Terry folded and Lopez shoved all-in for 75,000 total and Mizrachi called with JclubJdiamond.  Lopez was racing with his KdiamondQdiamond and failed to connect as the board ran out 9diamond8club8diamond9spade4club.  His tournament run is over, but he and his dad still have a couple more days to enjoy Foxwoods before they have to head back to Texas.

It has been a wild ride for the three ClubWPT.com qualifiers and, though none of them were able to make the money, they all agreed it was a great experience and enjoyed putting in some time at the tables with some of the best players in the game.
